The Appleby Town Carnival is a non profit organisation
that is only able to keep hosting each year due to
fund raising via the local community and donations via local businesses.
Each year the committed team of the carnival committee
host various events in the local area to raise money so that
they can provide a fun filled weekend of entertainment for all ages.
But it’s not just the committee that help to make the weekend possible,
many local businesses and members of the community join in
by helping to fund the weekend by providing donations and contributions.
Since 1977 when the Royal British Legion Carnival handed over the reins
to the town, it was renamed Appleby Town Carnival Committee.
A committed group of enthusiastic local member of the community
stepped forward to keep the magic alive by planning all year round
and raising money to ensure that the fun filled weekend was able to
be continued, allowing all who attended to have a great time .
